Welcome to our Beautiful Campus in Mid-Coast Maine
Damariscotta Montessori School is an accredited non-profit private alternative school located in scenic mid-coast Maine offering a unique and diverse Montessori program for children ages 3 through 15, pre-kindergarten through Grade 8.
The basic aim of the Montessori approach is to cultivate the natural curiosity and delight in discovery and learning that is present in all children in beautiful and unique multi-aged classrooms. Hands on learning is done at a child's own pace to create life long learners who value imagination, creativity, and innovative problem-solving. We use our beautiful outdoor campus as an extension of our classrooms for learning, exploration, gardening, and community service, and play.
Our school community is a place where all children are valued as individuals. We believe that each child has a diverse mix of feelings, ideas, and interests that deserve to be honored. By respecting and nurturing the uniqueness of each child we strive to build a foundation for a lifetime of creative learning and living.
